New 2017 Ford Escape at Kayser Ford for Madison, WI

The 2017 Escape is smarter than ever. Available technology can alert you to unintentional lane drift, warn you of a vehicle in your blind spot, auto-maneuver you into (or out of) a tight parking spot, or open the available hands-free, foot-operated liftgate with just a gentle kick under the rear bumper. And the EcoBoost engines feature Auto Start-Stop Technology to help save fuel when you're driving in the city. As if Escape isn't stylish enough, the Sport Appearance Package available on Escape SE or Titanium takes it to another eye-catching level. Unique black-out trim, sport seats, leather-trimmed shift lever and steering wheel are just a few of the parts that make up the Escape..

Under the Escape's Hood

Ford Escape offers a line of three engines. The 2.5L with independent variable cam timing (iVCT). The available 1.5L EcoBoost® iVCT, the most fuel-efficient engine in the Escape lineup. And for more punch at the pedal, the available 2.0L EcoBoost with responsive twin-scroll turbocharger. The 6-speed SelectShift® transmission includes a Sport mode that lets you override automatic operation and enjoy the sporty feel of manual control over gear selection. A Ford Escape with available 2.0L EcoBoost power and Class II Tow Package can tow up to 3,500 lbs. Trailer sway control technology is included in the package.

Design of Ford Escape

2017 Escape takes confident style into fresh territory. New exterior design cues feature a dynamic grille, sculpted hood and athletic stance, sleek sideview mirrors and fresh wheel designs, plus LED taillamps and available halogen projector headlamps with LED signature lighting. 2017 Escape features a new center console with convenient media bin to stow your essentials, an ergonomically placed gear shifter, an easy-to-navigate center instrument panel, and a stylish 3-spoke steering wheel with available heat feature. And, of course, there's plenty of cargo-carrying capacity to accommodate your next adventure. The Escape can seat up to five. And its versatility lets you convert rear seat room to extra space - up to a maximum 68 cu. ft. - when transporting cargo takes priority. Fold both rear seat backs for a flat load surface and 68 cu. ft. of total cargo space. Or fold down either of the 60/40 split rear seat backs for more cargo space and still carry one or two rear passengers. On the infotainment side, the 2017 Escape becomes Ford's first vehicle to offer the firm's latest Sync 3 telematics package that includes support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also introduces Sync Connect.
