The engines available for the 2017 Ford F-250 are a 6.2-liter gasoline V8 and a 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8. The gas V8 has an output of 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The turbodiesel V8 has an output 440 hp and a whopping 925 lb-ft of torque. The gas and turbodiesel V8 both have a six-speed automatic transmission with RWD as standard, but can have the option for FWD. The F-250 can tow conventional trailers up to 18,000 lbs and 5th wheel/gooseneck trailers up to 18,600. The two-wheel-drive F-250 has a maximum payload of 4,200 lbs. and the crew-cab 4WD that can carry up to 3,450.

Design of Ford F-250 Super Duty

The 2017 Super Duty is completely updated! There are five trim levels in the new Super Duty: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum. The cab options are regular, extended/SuperCab, and crew-cab bodies. There is a choice of 6.75- and 8-foot bed lengths. All the trim levels have cool features. Some of the features of the XL are front tow hooks, manual front locking hubs (four-wheel-drive models), a removable locking tailgate with tailgate lift assist, a 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver (with 2-inch insert), and an overhead console with storage bins (extended and crew cabs only). Some features of the XLT are heated mirrors with built-in turn signals, four locking cleats in the bed, keyless entry, cloth upholstery, rear under-seat lockable storage, a rearview camera, an alarm system, and the Sync voice-controlled system with a 4.2-inch display. Some features of the Lariat are an electronic shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive system (four-wheel-drive models only), tubular side steps, and a premium Sony 10-speaker audio system with two USB charging ports. The well named King Ranch features a western theme. Some features are unique alloy wheels, a body-color grille, accent-color bumpers and lower body trim, unique fender badges, and upgraded leather upholstery. The last trim is the Platinum model. Some features are a remote tailgate release, a built-in tailgate step, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and multicontour front seats.
