How to Properly Test Drive a Car

Purchasing a car is not something that should be taken lightly. Why would anyone want to purchase a car that they are going to turn around and dislike or constantly have problems with? Before you make a commitment to purchase a new vehicle, make sure that you take it for a proper test drive first!

Your sales consultant should make sure that you are aware of all the driver facing controls and settings. Adjust mirrors to your vantage point and adjust the steering wheel and pedals (if equipped) to make you comfortable before leaving the dealership.

If you are from the Madison area, don't be hesitant to take the vehicle on routes with which you are familiar and drive on a daily basis. Driving an unfamiliar vehicle on unfamiliar routes can sometimes be stressful and not allow you to properly focus on the performance and comfort of the vehicle.
